“It is perhaps a more fortunate destiny to have a taste for collecting shells than to be born a millionaire” ~ Robert Louis Stevenson
I’m not a rich woman. I may never be in a position where I don’t have to worry about finances. What I do have, is an appreciation for the priceless treasures all around me.
Found in a perfect shell, in countless shades of amber found on a sugar white beach. The sound of the ocean singing in my ear, the warm Gulf breezes caressing my cheek, and the comfort of the sun’s embrace.
The unconditional love of my family, and the laughter and affection of good friends, are far more valuable than material things.
Books to get lost in, music to find joy in, and a matchless moment of beauty captured in the blink of an eye… these are what I hold dear.
I’m grateful for:
1. My family and friends
2. An all-embracing love of books
3. An enthusiasm for good music
4. A small talent for photography
5. The ability to see the beauty in everything around me
That shell photo is GORGEOUS.
I appreciate priceless treasures so much, too. Can’t imagine how life would be if I overlooked those types of things!

We may not be rich in monetary terms, but we are rich in others. Someone once told me ‘And it’s the right of the Poor to say that’.
I count my blessings anyway. I have many things that people do not, things that money can’t buy.

Small talent for photography?? That photo above is gorgeous. Are you selling your photos yet, girl??
I’m not a shell collector, per se. They are not what I search for. I’m a sea glass collector. I love that stuff.
