Resident artist

Photo hiker

I believe all good fiction includes an element of truth, and all good photography includes an element of fantasy. In this journal I hope to give voice to the stories swirling around in my head, and to capture the images I see through my camera’s lens.

Tara lives and plays on the Florida Gulf Coast. A former print news and online media reporter, she now spends her days roaming the woods and beaches of the Panhandle talking to herself, penning eclectic fiction, and taking photographs. She can be found most days at “Thin spiral notebook” trying to quiet the voices in her head.

    1. Thank you, BlueSpade. I was hoping to keep with a writing/journal sort of feel. That, and I thought “About” was a little too impersonal. I appreciate the Subscription.

  1. Hi Tara, I feel privileged to follow your blog….because i strongly believe earth is round and today’s kids are tomorrow’s elders.. better be prepared than to feel bad!!

  2. Finally another writer, huh? Wonderful! I can never find online fiction writers these days! I’m writing you a paragraph on the “Other Writers” page of my blog. Thanks! My blog is at, by the way.

  3. I came to you via Terri’s blog and since I live in Florida and am an amateur photographer and an aspiring writer I found your site very interesting, yet there is no information on the writer themselves? What gives?

So, tell me what you really think:
