Today during physical therapy, I was able to ride a stationary bike for ten minutes, making full, forward rotations the whole time. I logged about 1.75 miles. That’s huge.
Well, right now, every improvement is huge. It’s still slow going, but I’m seeing little changes in my range of motion that are encouraging. I got to 120-degree this week – with some help.
I’m pretty much walking without the cane now, but I can get tired easily.
I didn’t have to make dinner Thursday, my daughter played hostess, but I did make a couple of pies and a couples of casseroles. I spent a lot of time on my feet and I felt it later than night. I crashed hard when we got home from the family Thanksgiving.
I’m starting to see a faint light at the end of this surgery rehab tunnel. The success on the bike today was just the improvement I needed going into the weekend.
