A little play on words, this week’s set is of discarded objects, or things left behind, or are just behinds. I also cropped each shot so that the focus was on the bottom left third of the frame… based on the ‘Rule of Thirds‘ for photography. I know, I’m lazy brilliant.

(Photos shot with a Nikon D60, using an 18-55mm, 55-200mm, 20mm f/2.8 wide-angle, or 50mm f/1.8 prime lens and/or a Nikon CoolPix S205)

I love the pacifier shot. It reminds me of when when my then 9 month old daughter gave up her pacifier because we lost it in Disneyworld. I forgot to pack a back up. Needless to say, we bought every different pacifier in the place, but she hated all of them. She decided her thumb was a much better subsitute.

Each picture is special. Seeing that pacifier, I remember how I always had a spare with me when my boys were babies, one on me, one in my purse, and usually another in the car. I loved the striped socks, too.

I’m sure many people see trash, but there is a beauty in those little things and I’m sure a few stories to be told.

I’d have been dealing with quite the bereft child if I’d lost one of her plug-plugs. Nice shots, although the trash ones make me too sad.
