Saturday morning, I went on a photo hike for the first time in months. It was Mojave Hot. I was grateful for what shade I did have, and for the water I remembered to bring.
I stayed away from the tourist-packed beaches, and instead took a ramble in the woods around Blackwater River State Park, my go-to favorite place. There were so many people on the river, that I didn’t have to share the trails with anyone.
The last shot in this series was taken as I shifted from the cool, shaded trail along the river, into the steamy, open trail that wended through the long needle pines.
It was a lovely, peaceful day. I needed this chance to recharge my internal batteries.

love the look of the woods…

Your eye, your perception and perspective make even the simple photos “more”.
The colors, brilliant, the mood, captured. Thank you for sharing those walks with us through your lens.

Lovely. I am practically there with you enjoying the peace and tranquility with perhaps the occasional birdsong. Nothing like a walk in these kind of surroundings to recharge just about everything. Thank you for sharing.
