Dawn of a new day

Sunday night, I returned home from my Girls Weekend with my daughter. I highly recommend celebrating any milestone birthday… 30, 40, 50 and beyond, by doing something outside of your comfort zone.

While I thought it would be fun running in a 5K where I would be coated head to toe in colored powder and paint, without the cooperation and encouragement of my family, I wouldn’t have done it on my own. I don’t think I could have convinced any of my local friends to join me, no matter how much I bribed them.

Maybe I can take my new-found bravery into my second 50 years.

“Thank you” for every email, text and instant message wishing me a happy birthday. This has been by far, the best one to date.
