Bogeyman

Keeping my arms and legs pulled in tight, I dare not let them fall over the edge of my bed. I hear the scratching, feel the hot breath of what is lurking beneath.

Pale faces at my window, alien and distorted, paralyze me with fear. I shake my head, trying to dispel white noise voices that buzz inside my brain. I can’t escape from these aberrations.*

This week’s Trifextra challenge is to build on a previous 33-word entry, adding an additional 33 words

  1. This was a great example of expounding, and the first one I’ve seen where someone gave backstory rather than adding on to the prompt after. Great job!
