Changing light

As much as I enjoy getting out of the house first thing in the morning to go on my photo hunts, there is something magical about the light of late afternoon and evening. Colors are deeper, shadows are sharper, and you see things you might miss in the bright glare of day.

(Photos shot with a Nikon D60, using an 18-55mm, 55-200mm, 20mm f/2.8 wide-angle, or 50mm f/1.8 prime lens and/or a Nikon CoolPix S205)

  1. I love love love the second shot– GORGEOUS! I can’t quite figure out what my favorite time is, but I’m thinking around Sunset– just right before! That’s when I get all the cool sunflares!

  2. Wow! That first shot is AMAZING! You are so talented.

My header is an embarrassment to me right now–I still have a tree with LEAVES on it! I keep telling myself I’m going to get a shot of that tree with snow around it, but it’s too dark on my way to AND from work. I might have to make a special trip.
