Finally got a chance to explore one of the Florida Trails near Crestview. I spent a leisurely 2 hours tramping through the woods. I think I cleared every spiderweb and tick from along the path. Scared a few skinks and a toad too. I only walked a short portion of the trail, and want to return soon when I can spend more time there.
I also threw in a sunset from earlier in the week. These have been spectacular lately.

Tara – fantastic shots, love the light on the berries, the perfect sunset and that toad is superb. I have tiny “tree frogs” that nestle in various places – in planted pots seems to be a fav, next to the trim by the front door, under the rim of a clay pot I was potting up today. I’ll grab my camera and go looking adn they all disappear 😦

I love, love, love, your pictures. I am in south Louisiana this month. Almost like your neck of the woods. I wish I had time for a detour to the panhandle. Enjoy.

cool shadows on the leaves and nice toad.

Not an eagle’s nest, but I think it is a falcon’s nest.
