Everything you ever dreamed

"There are powers inside of you which, if you could discover and use, would make of you everything you ever dreamed or imagined you could become.” ~ Orison Swett Marden

Heart of gold

“He’s got the heart of a lion.” “What the hell is that supposed to mean?” “You know, that he’s über brave.” “Sure he’d be brave it he was a lion. He could take your arm off with one bite. What does he have to be afraid of? He’s the friggin’ King of the Jungle.” “Okay, ...

Old gas station signs

Hey, baby

She used to make fun of her dad whenever he’d take their family down all those back country roads during summer vacations. I like the book better

“What I like about black and white photographs is that they’re more like reading the book than seeing the movie.” ~ Robert Heinecken

Glare of the spotlight

"All right, Mr. DeMille, I'm ready for my close-up.” ~ Norma Desmond, “Sunset Boulevard” Have you ever felt that your entire life is just a movie, and you, and everyone around you, are just characters in that movie? (Think “The Truman Show.”) There are days when I just go through the motions, not really paying ...
