I was up bright and early Saturday morning. Well, early… not so bright. I was awake before sunrise. I had a date with 2,000 other early birds for the 30th Annual Eglin Air Force Base Gate-to-Gate Run/Walk/Ruck. I’ve been there, done that before, and was excited to join in again.
The event, held Memorial Day weekend each year, is a way to remember our military members who died in service to our country. Participants were given red, paper poppies to leave at a tribute to Fallen Soldiers.
The route looped through part of the base for 4.4 miles, 8.8 miles for all the overachievers.
I finished the course at 1:08:50… not too shabby.

I loved all your updates from this weekend!
Thanks for taking us along on the walk 🙂
