In like a lion…
About ten minutes into my morning walk, I wished that I had worn short sleeves. At the half-way point, I began to wonder where I packed my shorts. All along the way, I noticed hints of a spring that was just around the corner. I am ready for warm weather to stay around for a while.
Swamp shadows
Like the desperate, and futile struggles of hapless victims caught in quicksand, pale limbed trees reach out of the swamp. Entrapped in a net of duckweed, strangling the color and life out of any competing plant, smothering it under a blanket of vibrant green, their shadows claw for a handhold, a life line out of the muck.
