The sun was missing Saturday morning.
It wasn’t that it was cold. It was a balmy 70°F. It wasn’t raining, it wasn’t snowing – it’s Florida, after all. The sun was simply gone.
A grey cloud of fog seemed to engulf the world, shutting out light and sound.
It was as if the birds knew the sun was asleep, so they didn’t sing. The wind was still, and the leaves lay on the ground without rustling. Only the surf was bold enough to continue its crashing, but even it was muted to a soft rumble.
The sun was missing Saturday morning.

Eerie. Yes, that is the word these photos provoked. Hoping the sun has returned.

These are some lovely scenes, so rural and serene.

That looks like Dutch weather (although it would be colder in Dutch-land). The sand looks like snow in that light.

Some days are just like that, as if the sun is too shy to shine.

It was a very quiet day, almost eerie in its stillness.
