It was a celebration,
Stories to be told,
Laughter and tears.
Remembrance and sadness,
For a contented man.
It was a celebration
For a simple man.
A plain talker,
A deep thinker,
for a man of his word.
It was a celebration
For a faithful man,
For a grateful man,
A peaceful man,
A celebration that came too soon.
