Smile when you say that

The words are like rocks in my mouth
Breaking my teeth on their bitter truth
I bite my tongue to distract my mind from the pain
Spitting blood and bone
Choking on mangled promises
If I hold my mouth right
I can swallow the worst of it

Inspiration: “You have to hold your mouth right.”

I believe all good fiction includes an element of truth, and all good photography includes an element of fantasy. In this journal I hope to give voice to the stories swirling around in my head, and to capture the images I see through my camera’s lens.
