How a person reacts when life is going well isn’t a good test of character. More telling is how he handles adversity. Throw an obstacle in his path, cause him a little discomfort, change things up and see how he responds.

When stumbling around in the dark, and he barks his shin on a table that’s not supposed to be there, does he swear, turning the surround air blue, or does he calmly sit down, rubbing the rising bruise, and tell himself to be more careful?
