To complete one rotation in 24 hours, the earth must spin at an average of 1,000 mph. When you consider that, it doesn’t matter whether I’m power-walking at 3 miles per hour down an asphalt sidewalk, or this snail is moving at a leisurely 3 inches an hour along the edge of a rain-drenched leaf, we are both on a moving surface, hurtling through space at a mind-boggling speed.

I’m dizzy! 😉
But I love the shot of the little guy, doing his best to keep up. The colors are brilliant.

I tried to envision this speed but I had to stop because I got dizzy! Nice perspective.
Question, did you mean hurdling?

Nope, should be a “t” not a “d.” That’s what I get for speed typing.

Oh good, because I had this image of snails hurdling over the veins in the leaves. Yeah, try to get that one out of your head!
