Masterpiece

“The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of his hands.”

~ Psalms 19:1, NIV

It is difficult for me to accept that a scene like this is happenstance. That uninspiring refraction of light, mixed with a scattering of atmospherical pollution, filtered through altostratus clouds, are all that a beautiful sunset is.

Difficult to not imagine the hand of God, sweeping across the same sky, painting the firmament with a palette of golds and reds, oranges and yellows.  Creating each night, a masterpiece of incomparable, breath-taking beauty.  A swirl of such colors that man could never duplicate and never authentically describe.

  1. Gulf coast sunrises and sunsets are magical. You should consider linking this up to my Song-ography meme. Today’s song title is “Here Comes the Sun”, this would be perfect 🙂

  2. It’s things like that, that restore my Faith. I do believe deep down that there is a Creator and he is responsible for the beauty in the world. The incredible things we see in Nature are far more inspirational to me than any church sermon I’ve ever sat through.
