If you’ve been following along, I spent most of last week on the road with my dad and step-mom, driving to Ohio (about 2,200 miles round-trip from Florida) to attend a family funeral. I thought I’d be able to get a few photos on the trip north, but only managed some snaps from the passenger seat. (I didn’t try to take any shots while driving, and didn’t attempt any stops on the Interstate) On the return trip south, all I wanted was to get home. (Made the drive in a record low of 10 hours.)
There wasn’t much free time to go anywhere else, so this week’s photo set is a bit eclectic, but a good representation of how I spent my time… mainly in a car, on the road.

(Photos shot with a Nikon D60, using an 18-55mm, 55-200mm, 20mm f/2.8 wide-angle, 50mm f/1.8 prime lens, Nikon CoolPix S205 and/or iPhone4)

That’s a LONG 10 hours and a hard drive. We drove up to NC last week but we took 2 days to get here. Love your photos…especially the old buildings. Sweet hugs!

That 10 hours was the second half of the drive. I stopped at my dad’s in Tennessee after an 11 hour drive from Ohio.

When I was a teenager, I went on a long car ride with my dad and stepmom from Rochester NY to Minneapolis, and up around the Great Lakes on the way home. I wish I’d had a digital camera back then.
