Saturday dawned cool, but sunny. It was Dec. 1, I finished with NaNoWriMo (and successfully, thankyouverymuch!) and since I had missed my photo hike last weekend, I got an early start this weekend.
My goal was to attempt a sort of Christmas shot. The beaches around here truly are snow-white. It’s similar not only in hue, but in texture to the cold stuff from up north. The sand is very fine and drifts much like snow.
My new header was my best holiday shot of my outing. I’ll keep trying until I get the image I want.
I also visited a natural trail in my hometown. It features a mile-long, wooden boardwalk that meanders through a marshy bayou, and around a tannic steam. I took my new self-portrait while peering over the railing.

(Photos shot with a Nikon D60, using an 18-55mm, 55-200mm, 20mm f/2.8 wide-angle, 50mm f/1.8 prime lens, Nikon CoolPix S205 and/or iPhone4)

As you know I am big fan of self portraits so I love that picture but the shell is awesome too.

That color blue is one of favorites for ornaments. As much as Ilove tthe change of seasons and proximity to NYC here in the Northeast.. I do dream of a Christmas in the sun of Florida.. Thanks for the glimpse
