Last summer weekend

The storms are gone from the Florida Gulf Coast, and this Labor Day weekend is the last tourist holdover. I headed out to the beach again and the local fishing pier. TS Isaac chased off the shore birds, the herons and pelicans were gone from the pier, but I did catch sight of a couple of dolphins playing in the surf.

(Photos shot with a Nikon D60, using an 18-55mm, 55-200mm, 20mm f/2.8 wide-angle, 50mm f/1.8 prime lens, Nikon CoolPix S205 and/or iPhone4)

  1. These pictures reminded me of childhood days when my parents would take us on vacation to the gulf shores. The sand is so lovely and the sand dunes were fun to play in.

We just got our power turned back on from the storm.
