The Mister wasn’t feeling good the day I usually take my photo hike, so being the dutiful wife that I am, I still went…. but, I did stay close to home just in case he needed me to fetch him a glass of water or some saltines.
Instead of venturing out early in the morning, I also waited until a couple of hours before sunset. I love the light that time of day. It has a special ambience that is only seen as the day wanes.
Of course, I included a sunset shot.

(Photos shot with a Nikon D60, using an 18-55mm, 55-200mm, 20mm f/2.8 wide-angle, 50mm f/1.8 prime lens, Nikon CoolPix S205 and/or iPhone4)

that picture of the sunset took my breath away, I wanted to sit in its light and just breathe.

Some family members area heading to Florida later this month. The pictures make me re-think my decision to not join them.

These are spectacular. I especially like the last two. I don’t know how you get nature to pose for your camera, but it cooperates beautifully.

Love the little stream, creek, river (which is it do you think?)

It’s a creek… Turkey Creek. It’s very clear, but tannic. The water is an amber color and very cold, even during the hottest months of summer. It’s very popular for tubing and kayaking.

Very beautiful, Tara. During our recent trip, I couldn’t get enough of taking pictures of the landscape. Love trees. And – love your header (and your new Twitter photo!) I hope The Mister gets well soon! Love, Vidya

I love the way the sequence makes it seem like you just emerge out of the forest and into the sunset. Yay!
