Will it rain today?

These fickle, fuddled words confuse me
Like ‘Will it rain today?’

~ Dave Matthews, “The Space Between”

As much as I love trekking to the beach on bright sunny days, I love even more heading to the Gulf when the weather is not so pretty.

Watching and photographing storms rolling into shore is exhilarating. Last year when Tropical Storm Lee came through, I was there – loving every windblown second of it. When weather reports call for storms, the first place I want to go is toward water.

Taking in that wide-open vista, witnessing the thunderheads churning and darkening, is like no other experience. The majesty and power of it is humbling.

This weekend it rained, and I took off for the beach…

April showers
Fanning out
Watching from shore
Life is good
Beached flock
Bleached bones

  1. Great storm clouds. We have had stormy weather for several days here. I wonder why I didn’t try to capture those great clouds with my camera. Well, at least I can enjoy your shots.
