I’ve been whining lately that I’m running out of places to go on my photo hikes. I’ve done beaches, I’ve done the local state parks, I’ve found out-of-the-way trails that aren’t on any maps. What could I do to mix things up? I was getting tired of taking the same photos over and over, changing only the season or time of day.
I felt I was getting stale and boring.
Then I turned left.
Driving through a small town that I’ve been through hundreds of times, instead of going straight through the lone stop light, I turned off my normal path. It was very serendipitous, and I will return to explore some more.

(Photos shot with a Nikon D60, using an 18-55mm, 55-200mm, 20mm f/2.8 wide-angle, 50mm f/1.8 prime lens, Nikon CoolPix S205 and/or iPhone4)

WOW, Tara. The Hangar shot is INCREDIBLE. It could be sold here in the antique stores, seriously. I absolutely love it. And I love that you don’t get boring and try new places 🙂

I love love LOVE the suspended bridge. It looks a litte scary at that angle, but I guess the wood looks new enough. I guess…

The bridge actually looked fairly new. It didn’t swing much when I walked across, but it did feel ‘springy,’ like being on a jump castle. Fortunately it wasn’t very high and over water that wasn’t deep.
