It took six months to remove all signs of him from my apartment. Seems like a lot longer. I had to get rid of my favorite coffee mug because it was a gift from him. I loved that mug.
Sheets, towels, even the bathroom rug, all gone. I purged photos and CDs, movies, all those things that carried memories good and bad. I was finally getting my life back together. I was seeing a great new guy.
Then yesterday I opened my email and there it was in the subject line, “hey, baby.” How could a dead man contact me?

100 Word Song is a writing challenge from Lance based on a weekly music prompt. Give 100 words, not 99, not 101. This week’s challenge is inspired by Bob Mould – “See A Little Light”.
I thought I commented…..ugh, old man memory
First of all, the first line and the last lines are just spectacular. This was one of my favorites of the week. I like how you set me up. Great work.

Nice that you’ve found another “100 Word” thing to go to. VV seems to have fallen off the bus. Oh well. meantime – nice job on this piece. I like it a lot. 🙂
