Some days you’re the grill, some days you’re the teddy…
*Now that lawn spring cleaning is going on throughout our neighborhood, brush trucks patrol the area to pick up yard waste – tree clippings, bagged leaves, green debris. Each truck I’ve seen has some sort of stuffed animal, adorned with Mardi Gras beads, attached to the truck grill. There has to be some sort of story behind the tradition, but I haven’t learned what it is yet. The driver of a truck working on my street was happy to let me snap this shot of his teddy totem.

Love the beads. I haven’t seen that before – but yep, the animals on the grills of garbage trucks has been showing up around us ever since TS3, too. I always feel sorry for those poor animals though!
