Some days you’re the grill, some days you’re the teddy…

*Now that lawn spring cleaning is going on throughout our neighborhood, brush trucks patrol the area to pick up yard waste – tree clippings, bagged leaves, green debris. Each truck I’ve seen has some sort of stuffed animal, adorned with Mardi Gras beads, attached to the truck grill. There has to be some sort of story behind the tradition, but I haven’t learned what it is yet. The driver of a truck working on my street was happy to let me snap this shot of his teddy totem.
Yep, Toy Story 3 for me to. I had no idea this actually happened in non-animation life. Crazy!

Well, if all of the Teddies look like this one, clearly they have been off somewhere having WAY too much fun!

You think maybe they’re found in the trash? Like folks are spring cleaning their rec rooms and kids’ closets and decide ol’ Teddy’s gotta go? Maybe they’re evidence of “green” “art”. 🙂

I do think these toys were trash finds. Another truck had a big bunny strapped to the grill. Whenever I see one, I think of the ending of Toy Story 3.
