Graffiti Wisdom: lost love

“Perhaps they are not stars, but rather openings in heaven where the love of our lost ones pours through and shines down upon us to let us know they are happy.” ~ Eskimo Proverb

Never let an opportunity pass to tell those around you how much you love and appreciate them. They won’t be around forever and neither will we.

If I have any regrets, this is it… leaving words unsaid, forgiveness not given, love left mute.

Write that letter, send that card, make that call, don’t wait until it’s too late.

  1. Words of wisdom that I need to hear.

My Dad and I had a fallout late last summer and though we saw each other and ‘hugged it out’ and had a chat at Christmas, we still went almost 3 months without words.

It’s so easy to just call, or stop by. I think I need to do more of that. Thank you for this lovely post.

  2. What a great picture Tara. I think we all know how important it is to let the ones we care about know how much we love them. I say it all the time…not only for them, but for me. Thanks sweetie….

  3. I love that proverb. I also like your admonition at the end. I remember a Mother’s Day a few years back, where ‘Bear’ Bryant, in a commercial, was supposed to say, “Call your Mama”, but added, as an adlib, “I sure wish I could call mine.” I will NEVER forget the poignancy of that moment.

  4. In my next life, I want to be a Graffiti Artist (and I will always Capitalize randomly, As well!). The Native American peoples of Alaska are brilliant, aren’t they?

  5. I don’t call my parents enough while they are away for the winter. This thought has been bothering me lately and I’ve resolved to be better about this. Thanks for the reminder!
