100 Word Challenge: Write

Odd fact for the day: I still have an active Feed Reader (Feedly).

It sits in my laptop dock, staring, judging, begging for attention. I finally opened it today and found, of the sites I have bookmarked there are 90 sources, 35 inactive (no posts for 3+ months) and 8 that are unreachable.

Back in the day, the day of rampant blogging, reading and commenting, the first thing I’d do each day was peruse my Reader for new posts from my friends… those people who live in my computer.

Not so much now. Many of my blogger friends no longer post regularly. A few of those on my list haven’t published anything in 5 years or more. But, I am loathed to delete them… you know, just in case.

Fortunately, some of my writer/no longer writing peeps I found on Facebook, so I’ve not lost total contact.

I do miss those OG blogging days when everybody was posting stuff and reading my stuff, and I was commenting on their stuff and they were commenting on my stuff.

I’ve been terrible about keeping up with my bloggy friends – reading and showing a little comment love.

So… I can’t promise to be great at it, but I am going to update my Reader and start perusing blogs again – reading and showing a little comment love.

“Life is bearable when you have someone to write, and someone who writes you back. Even if it’s just one person.” ~ Eunjin Jang

This week’s word is:

Write

What to do:

Using “write” for inspiration, write 100 Words – 100 exactly – no more, no less. You can either use the word – or any form of the word – as one of your 100, or it can be implied. Include a link in your post back here, and add your story to the Mister Linky list. If you don’t have a blog, you can leave your submission in the comment section, or as a Facebook status post. Remember to keep spreading the love with supportive comments for your fellow Wordsters.
