Summer fields, verdant with sunshine and warm rain, burst open with dollops of yellow radiance. Promises of long, leisurely days, and sweet, gentle nights sway in the breeze, wafting honey perfume.
Dogs days, sultry and ardent, yearn for one last moment of estival intimacy, drunk on dandelion wine and kisses.
Gone are the sparks of sun. Scattered among the blades of green, are iridescent pearls of moonlight. Plumes of white, carrying whispered wishes, float free from earth, seeking the heart of an angel.
I’m grateful for:
- Warm summer days
- Dandelion wishes
- Moonlight

“Yearn” is one of my favorite words and when you mix it with “drunk on kisses”…well I’m sold. 🙂

Sure, remind summer’s gone and now we have to deal with cold and snow. A lovely piece.

Verdant…I’m going to have to use that one. I love the picture. I know what it is, but I can see so many other things in it, too. My favorite fireworks explode like that.

Ugh, this is so beautiful. You make me sick. In a good way, of course. Love the picture, too.
I’m grateful for you.
