There is no rabbit hole, nor tea party with tasty petit fours.
It’s business as usual, working ‘round the clock.
Preppers ready for any disaster… save flood.
Chop shop rats able to strip the carapace from a beetle
Before the poor creature knows it’s dead.
Gathering food for the winter, while the grasshopper plays.
Stores of grain and seed, carried on the backs of workers,
As soldiers guard the mound portal against marauders.
Venture down into the tunnels and a subterranean city unfolds.
An unfathomable abyss, a maze of chambers leading to a Queen’s boudoir.

Ants are such hard workers, aren’t they? Although I have to admit that I have more than a little grasshopper in me. 🙂
