Bend to the wind

stormsIMSO

I’ve weathered maelstroms and hurricanes, earthquakes and dust devils.

I’ve been adrift in a violent sea, spinning unanchored in a relentless vortex. The unfathomable waters infested with sea creatures born of nightmares and fear.

I’ve been without a guiding light, without a life jacket. I’ve been lost and far from shelter.

But I survived…

I endured the whipping gales and shaking ground. I’ve battled my devils and diminished their anger.

I braved the Kraken, swam through the deep, dark ocean, and found my way back to shore.

Fate’s wild winds hammer at me still. I bend, but I’m not broken.

  1. I bend but I’m not broken.
    My newest mantra for sure.
..there is such hope in those words, in the choice to not break, isn’t there?

I like the lay of the words and the build of strength. Makes me cheer for you/whomever.
