R.A.I.N. is now a four-letter word around here. I worry that my fingers and toes are beginning to grow webbing. Rising waters, thunder and lightning, and all around ennui again trapped me indoors much of the week. August alone had about 8 inches of precipitation – average rainfall for August is only a quarter of an inch. September has been nearly as damp.
Since I couldn’t get out for a photo hike, I did what you do on dark, drizzly, dreary days… I got out my hooks and yarn, and crocheted.

I am keen on learning to knit. That yarn looks so pretty, waiting to be spun 😀

MY late grandmother was a master crocheter/crochetist?
This brought back memories.

I hope they were good memories. My aunt taught me to crochet when I was ten. She passed in ’99 from colon cancer. This is a little piece of her that I will always have, and it’s just mine.

I love your shots…inspire me to get that yarn out and have a go! We had something of summer today so that balances your rain. Take care!

Same here, friend. Rain is very intense this month as a rule in Honduras, and this year is no exception. Today, thus far, no rain. I am glad you found something to occupy your mind and hands.

Rain, rain go away, come again some other day…
But a day for crafting is kinda nice sometimes.

Thunder and lightning DO put a damper on photo hiking, do they not? But everybody loves a good yarn!
