Shark weak

dorsal fins

Circling the shallows, a shiver of hungry females stalk their prey, tasting the waters for fresh meat. More intimidating and powerful than their male counterparts, their blood lust is a powerful urge.

They single out a potential victim from the rest, surrounding him, cutting him off from any escape routes. Once a man-eater latches on, there is no release until she devours her quarry.

“Bitch, don’t kill my vibe with your weak pick-up lines.” Their alpha leader approaches her selection. “Don’t speak, just let me look at you.”

Sharks got nothing on a Girls’ Night Out feeding frenzy.

The Trifecta challenge this week is: Weak [ adj \wēk\] 3: not factually grounded or logically presented
This week’s Studio30 Plus prompt is “Fleeting,” and/or “Shark.”
The 100 Word Challenge is to tell a story in only 100 words. This week’s theme is ‘Speak’

  1. High heels and martinis..they make it a lot easier to employ the frenzy.
    Gosh, sometimes I miss my 20’s 😉

however, I’d like to think that I was never like this, it was a “kinder, gentler boy crazy.” *ahem*

      1. I was going to ask Lou the same thing. I would think he’d be asking how to get in the thick of that. *gulp*

Yeah, I always refer to Black Friday, the day after thanksgiving shopping, as Shark Day. Also, sharks have nothing on high school cheer moms/dads.

    1. I think any parent of a competitive sports athlete knows about feeding frenzies. I don’t DO Black Friday. That’s a ‘take no prisoners’ insanity I don’t want to get into.
