My photo hikes have become the highlight of my week. I get out of the house for a few hours to go where I want, and do what I want. The quiet and solitude is a welcome change of pace from what can be a humdrum routine of chores, and constant demands on my time and attention.
I enjoy the simple pleasures of being outside and looking at the world through my camera lens.

(Photos shot with a Nikon D60, using an 18-55mm, 55-200mm, 20mm f/2.8 wide-angle, 50mm f/1.8 prime lens, Nikon CoolPix S205 and/or iPhone4)

We all benefit from your photo hikes, Tara. Thanks for sharing these wonderful images. I’m especially fascinated by the first one.

I enjoy the angles and vanishing point of the tower. Good camera walks.

Third image from the top is my favourite. I love the light on the water and the canopy of trees.

My favorite is the one at the exact bottom of the tower. I’ve always loved looking-straight-up shots.

And, I, living vicariously through you, can sit at my computer and marvel at what you see. I’m with Sue on the dandelion being amazing.
