Rust and iron

Spent some time around train tracks this weekend near Mossy Head, FL. There is something very appealing to me about rust and iron.

(Photos shot with a Nikon D60, using an 18-55mm, 55-200mm, 20mm f/2.8 wide-angle, 50mm f/1.8 prime lens, Nikon CoolPix S205 and/or iPhone4)

  1. Oh Tara – that Emerson comment – you’re not an amateur. Perhaps sometime in the distant past you were, but you are truly accomplished and always pushing yourself to explore more. There is always beauty here.

  2. I like these pictures. Used to have a fetish for the railway tracks a few years ago, and never tired of taking pictures – seemed to show something new every time.

    Lovely Tara!

  3. Oh, me too! There’s something so cool about rusty metal. Also, exploring old train tracks. My grandfather was a breakman for a steam engine that ran from Hungary into Austria. My grandmother’s train pass, with a picture of her as a child, is one of my greatest possessions.
