Worldwide Photo Walk

This weekend I participated in the Fourth Annual Worldwide Photo Walk, brainchild of Scott Kelby. According to Kelby’s website, more than 1100 walks were planned and more than 30,000 shutterbugs participated in the two-day event.

My group met in downtown Fort Walton Beach. A dozen or so local artists and amateurs trooped about snapping photos of area attractions and having an all-around good time.

To check out other photos from this group, go to our Flickr page. It should be filling up over the next few days.

These are my favorite shots from the walk. I can choose one of these to enter into a local and then hopefully event-wide contest. Help me pick by telling me which one is your favorite. In the comments, please list the number of the one you think is the best of the lot. thnx!

  1. Wish I’d known about this sooner, there were two walks here yesterday! I’m always looking to get out of my rut of locally shooting the same thing.

Anyway, picking a fvorite? Oh, that’s tough!! Two of the shots really stood out to me, though.

#4 – love the DOF and the simple coloring of it.
    #6 – It’s just frickin’ gorgeous.

  2. Number one is my favorite. Simple but the directions the vines grow with the wonderful wall background makes it a superb photo.

I also like number eight, also for the simplicity, and the colors.

    Hope you enjoy your Sunday.

  3. Your photos amaze me because you can take the most ordinary things and make them extraordinarily beautiful.
I can’t pick just one, sorry, no way! But I can narrow it down to three: Number One, Number Six, and Number Seven. Okay if I HAD to pick one it would probably be seven. That one blows me away.
