Land-escaping

This I week went to Panama City and hiked around St. Andrews State Park, Camp Helen State Park, and Grayton Beach State Park. I am totally biased, but NW Florida has some of the most beautiful nature preserves in the south.

I’m not sure what this is supposed to be, but I think it’s some sort of shrine to Vienna Sausages and beer.

Couldn’t help it… had to throw a couple of macros into the mix.

(Photos shot with a Nikon D60, using an 18-55mm, 55-200mm, 20mm f/2.8 wide-angle, 50mm f/1.8 prime lens, Nikon CoolPix S205 and/or iPhone4)

  1. Those water areas – any gators?
Like the macro (why don’t they call it micro – it’s not macroscope?) of the fungus mushroom whatever – looks like paper.

  2. I couldn’t “get” what I was looking at in the header photo and was about to ask when all of a sudden, BAM, I “got” it looking at the smaller version in the post! That’s a GREAT shot of the spore gills on a toadstool/mushroom!!!

  3. Biased or not, you could be right, you keep showing me more and more amazing places to explore. If only they were in the same continent as me I would go exploring there too!
    Happy SIMC.
