“Sleek.”
It wasn’t the word she’d use, but he thought it described his persona perfectly. Black oily hair combed straight back, and jet eyes so dark you couldn’t see his pupils.
He reminded her of a wet otter. Even his grey suit was glossy, giving the illusion of him cutting through the room like an otter through water.
The way he strutted, she knew he thought of himself more a shark. That made her smile, turning away to not laugh aloud. Otter it was, silly and slightly inebriated.
A touch at her elbow, she wasn’t surprised his hand felt wet.
The 100 Word Challenge, a writing prompt created by Velvet Verbosity, takes a single theme to tell a story in only 100 words ~ no more, no less. This week’s theme is ‘Sleek.’
I now have a new nickname for him…thanks!
Good one 🙂
