We are sneaking into March later this week and I am SO looking forward to warmer, and hopefully less damp, weather.
In the region of Florida where I live, late February – early March is considered planting season.
I have potted plants that didn’t fare too well over the winter – mostly due to neglect while recovering from knee surgery.
The warmer temperatures are kinder on my new joint so I have plans later this week to get back to my garden and rectify my lack of bright greens and blooming flowers and fresh herbs.
We spring into Daylight Saving Time next weekend then the official first day of Spring comes a week later. I could not be more ready.
Seasonal Blues was never something I considered an issue with me though I’m reconsidering that simply due to how much I am now crave more sunshine and brilliant colors.
Hope is coming. My azaleas are blooming!
I am going to try to pay attention to the spring. I am going to look around at all the flowers, and look up at the hectic trees. I am going to close my eyes and listen.” Anne Lamott
This week’s word is:
Pink
What to do:
Using “pink” for inspiration, write 100 Words – 100 exactly – no more, no less. You can either use the word – or any form of the word – as one of your 100, or it can be implied. Include a link in your post back here, and add your story to the Mister Linky list. If you don’t have a blog, you can leave your submission in the comment section, or as a Facebook status post. Remember to keep spreading the love with supportive comments for your fellow Wordsters.
I love the “Pink” prompt, and not even because of my favorite Alicia Moore!

I’m going out tonight
Let me try this new palette
All these shades of pink
Cheeks rosy like I’ve kissed by fairy dust
How can pink be so innocent and remarkably fire at the same time
I’m going to dance the night away
I feel so incredibly fine
This pink blush got me feeling like a glass of vintage wine
Why did I wait so long to enhance my high cheek bones
In a Way such as this
I’m going out tonight
If you plan on coming
Don’t be tardy because I’m m tickled pink about my dance moves tonight

This was really cute. I especially liked, “How can pink be so innocent and remarkably fire at the same time.” Very flirtatious.
