100 Word Challenge: Mule

For the past three days I have been at death’s door – not exactly, but I did have the migraine from hell and as a result have felt like shit warmed over – bed-ridden, aspirin-popping, Alka-Seltzer chewing, ginger ale swilling, saltines munching, head-throbbing, stomach roiling sick.

I blame some questionable chicken salad.

Suffice it to say, I’m glad to finally be back in the land of the living, especially in time to celebrate my 32nd anniversary later this week.

The Mister and I’ve nothing too extravagant planned. According to Hallmark, we can’t even exchange gifts again until our 35th – that’s Coral for those of you keeping score.

If we lived in Spain, Russia, France, or Italy, however; this would be our Copper Anniversary. I can work with that. I wonder if Moscow Mules, the popular cocktail served in copper mugs, are a traditional 32nd anniversary drink?

Ginger is good for digestion and upset stomachs, right?

Moscow Mule

Ingredients

  • 4-6 oz Ginger beer
  • 2 oz Vodka
  • 1/2 oz fresh lime juice
  • Ice
  • Lime wedge garnish

Directions

Add ice to copper mug, squeeze in fresh lime juice. Pour in vodka and add in ginger beer. Stir. Garish with lime wedge.

This week’s word is:

Mule

What to do:
