I wish for tolerance and understanding
I wish for order over chaos
I wish for wisdom and knowledge
I wish for compassion
I wish for acceptance
I wish for peace
I wish for love and friendship
I wish for health and happiness
I wish for all these things for you…
Star light, star bright
First star I see tonight,
I wish I may, I wish I might
Have the wish, I wish tonight.
~ 19th century nursery rhyme
This week’s word is:
Wish
What to do:
Using “wish” for inspiration, write 100 Words – 100 exactly – no more, no less. You can either use the word – or any form of the word – as one of your 100, or it can be implied. Include a link in your post back here, and add your story to the Mister Linky list. If you don’t have a blog, you can leave your submission in the comment section, or as a Facebook status post. Remember to keep spreading the love with supportive comments for your fellow Wordsters.
I love you wishes. I wish the same back for you.
Here is my entry for this week.
WISH
A Philadelphia row house was home to a couple with five children. Three girls in one bedroom saw girl-fights over who made the biggest mess and who didn’t pick up her clothes. As the middle girl she was always caught right there-in the middle.
Her bed was in an alcove with her younger sister’s. She got the spot by the window.
At night she’d look at the stars. Choose one to wish on. Her wish? Not what you might think. She wished to be kinder to her sisters and not get angry when things didn’t go her way.
