Took a short trip to Atlanta this weekend with my menfolk, and stopped at the High Museum of Art to visit its Dream Cars exhibit. More than two dozen concept cars, dating from 1934 to 2010, were on display. Here are a few of my favorites. (The exhibit has been extended through Sept. 14.)

These photos don’t do these cars justice. They all were so cool, true works of art.

Both of my guys were all smiles. These were amazing cars. Even the older cars from the 30s and 40s were incredibly innovative, they would rival cars today.

So cool! These remind me of “Back to the Future.” Remember that flick?

My son is a gear head, loves all kinds of cars. This trip was part of his birthday present. With some of these cars dating back to the 30s, 40s, and 50s, they would be categorized as “Classic.” They were concept cars, so weren’t mass produced.

The first picture must have been inspired by the Jetsons.
Never heard of Norman Timbs but I’ll need to look him up. Very cool looking car.

Those were the days when cars had personality and were not all a standard box set on wheels
Always remember a comment on a ferrari being like a relationship……. easy to get into and hard to get out of. :-).

Wow, those are really snazzy cars, definitely not the kind you would ever want to put on the road in Mumbai where I’m living for four months. Spending half of the past two years in India makes me NEVER complain about traffic on CA freeways.
My post is on the gates of the residence of the president of India.
