
With his sun-weary face always turned toward the sea, Cap’n Thad looked every bit the pirate. He had pulled his long, grey hair into a loose braid, and embellished it with bits of sea glass and shells. Small, gold hoops hung from his ears.
He regaled tourists at the wharf with tales from a lifetime as a sailor. Weaving daring adventures of being lost in the eye of a hurricane, battling monster sharks, and landing that ever-elusive trophy marlin.
No one noticed the raconteur never actually boarded any of the charters, nor was his name emblazoned on any hull.


A good storyteller never gives up his fiction. I loved how you used the word.
