I feel faded…
…and comfortable, like an old, worn pair of jeans. Knees thin from traipsing through the woods, and crabbing across the beach with my children. My pockets filled with blissful memories – smooth river rocks, pieces of polished driftwood, and pearlescent seashells.
I feel like I’ve finally grown into my skin, and it’s fitting in all the right places. Hips flared and thighs thick, a woman in shape and at heart. Strong and agile, built for endurance.
A silhouette undeniable, and irresistible. Cotton soft, yet still tough when most needed.
I feel faded, like a favorite pair of jeans.

such a beautiful way to phrase growing up, growing older, growing into your own life and skin. This felt as comfortable as those jeans.
