Flock feeding frenzy
Vie for tasty sushi bites
Oysters at their peak
The Trifextra challenge this weekend is: Haiku: an unrhymed verse form of Japanese origin having three lines containing usually five, seven, and five syllables respectivelySubmitted to Weekly Photo Challenge. The theme was to, “share a photo which means SEA to you and explain why you chose that picture.”
Growing up on the east coast, I have had more than my fair share of experiences with “flock feeding frenzies” as the fishing trawlers would be coming back to the harbour with their catches. Nasty scavengers is what I call them. However, luckily for everyone, you created a wonderful moment in the circle of life at the sea shore. Your haiku is perfect; certainly better than if you had started out with “Nasty scavengers” as your opening line, as I probably would have done. 🙂
Beautiful photo and haiku! Feeding frenzy seems pretty accurate!

Love the haiku, and the photo. Also reminded me of the seagulls in Nemo crying Mine! and made me laugh.

That was a very accurate portrayal of how seagulls are.

Beautiful (the picture too) and I love the idea of sushi bites! Saw a bald eagle swoop down this week and grab a large bass (BIG sushi!).

Seeing an eagle feeding would be so exciting. That would be a huge sushi bite!

“Nasty scavengers” is very accurate. I really don’t like seagulls – at all – but they can be great photo subjects.

Thanks! They were really noisy too, fighting over the tiny fish stirred up by the waves.
