It really was! This field is behind the city rec park, there were no people around, everything was so quiet. Very eerie.

It was such a stark image. Those four goals, still attached to their concrete anchors, lying in a jumble in an overgrown field.

There is little that is more forlorn than a disused and discarded sports item – basketball rim, goal post, soccer net, tumble down skating rink. Really nice ‘Ku, Tara. Well done.

I saw these goals lying in a field behind the city rec fields and just HAD to stop and get the shot. They did look forlorn.
