Lured

For the IndieInk Photo Battle (#IIPhoto) this week, Headant challenged me with “Homophone” and I challenged Chris with “Home.”

I thought this shot of a fishing lure, tangled around a tree limb, worked perfectly ~ bated bait.

From Dictionary.com

Homophone noun [hom-uh-fohn]
Phonetics – a word pronounced the same as another but differing in meaning, whether spelled the same way or not.

BATE  verb (used with object) [beyt]

BAIT noun [beyt]

Also from my Flickr archives:

  1. Nicely done. I would have seen the word and gone to drool in a corner, I think 🙂 I thought you were going to go more for the alluring lure or the lure luring people into the tree. Or yeah. That’s why you do what you do and I don’t 😉
