A lazy summer day,
Lulled by salt air breezes.
Adrift on a sea of dreams,
Somewhere between real and make-believe.
Reluctant to break the spell.

I wish they could all be just like you’ve described here!

I love that “in-between” space of life. It’s warm, cozy and full of possibilities.

The red ribbon really steals the attention on this one. Funny how that happens, it’s a picture of a hammoc begging to be looked at, admired, and loved. Yet all the focus in on the thin red ribbon – easily flowing in the breeze.

I liked the ribbon too, and the way it showed how breezy it was that day. I wanted to climb into the hammock and take a nap.

You stumbled upon this hammock on one of your photo hikes? Or was it on familiar terrain?

It was a favorite hiking venue, but I took a different trail. The hammock was a nice surprise.

They always are. In a travel shop when I was in my 20s I once saw a picture of a hammock hanging (as they tend to do) between two pegs far in the water. I stared and stared at that image and told myself I would find that spot and lay in it.
I’ve not found it yet, and I haven’t stopped searching. Any other hammock just won’t do it.

I have every confidence you will find it one day.

🙂 and when I do, I wouldn’t be surprised if you were in it chillin’ away laughing at me saying “I beat ya to it!”
