Tiny sanctuaries, for tiny denizens
White on white, multi-chambered dwellings
Stranded at high tide,
Flotsam and jetsam left at the door
A peek through window
Leaves a question unanswered

Beautiful photo. I have a jar full of shells I’ve collected but finding one this nice is rare.
Lovely photo and words to match.

Looking at your photo makes me think of how many times I’ve picked up sea shells and wondered if anybody was in there. When I was a kid I was wadding Long Island Sound in the back of my aunt’s home when I found a clam shell and it had a ugly fish in it. I later found out it was a dog fish.
